About the Role
We’re looking for a caring and patient Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a specialist school setting.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with pupils and helping them feel safe, understood and confident in school.
You’ll support pupils with their learning, communication and social development, while helping to create a calm and structured environment where they can thrive.
The role:
At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority. All candidates undergo enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding measures to ensure the well-being of students. We offer full assistance to make sure everything is in place before you start.
If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

- Supporting communication and social development
- Helping pupils manage routines and transitions
- Encouraging engagement with learning
- Supporting emotional regulation
- Working closely with teachers and other professionals
- Helping pupils develop independence and confidence
- Patient, calm and consistent
- A strong communicator
- Able to build positive relationships
- Interested in working with children with autism and additional needs
- Experienced in SEN, education, care or support work — although this isn't essential
