Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Supply Hive are working alongside a welcoming primary special setting supports children aged 4–11 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, alongside additional needs such as ASD and ADHD. The school is deeply nurturing, relationship-led and focused on building confidence, emotional regulation and re-engagement with learning.

You’ll be supporting pupils who need consistency, patience and positive role models. The role will suit someone calm, resilient and passionate about helping children who may have had tricky starts to their education.

✨ Responsibilities

• 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH
• Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
• Helping adapt learning to meet individual needs
• Being a trusted adult and positive role model

✅ Requirements

• Experience with SEMH, trauma-informed practice or behaviour support (preferred)
• A calm, patient and emotionally intelligent approach
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Right to Work in the UK & willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS
