About the Role
We’re looking for a supportive and motivated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Upper KS2 team at a two form entry primary school in Maidenhead starting in January 2026.
In this position, you’ll play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, helping to develop pupils’ writing skills, and boosting confidence in maths. We’re seeking someone who brings energy to the classroom, is confident leading 1:1 and small-group interventions, and has a solid grasp of KS2 grammar and punctuation.
Key Responsibilities:
🔵 Offer personalised support to individual pupils or small groups within Key Stage 2
🔵 Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences
🔵 Modify and create resources to meet diverse learning needs and champion inclusive practice
🔵 Build positive, nurturing relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, motivation, and a love of learning
🔵 Track pupil progress and provide clear, useful feedback to teaching staff
Requirements:
✅ Experience in an educational support role is beneficial, though not essential
✅ Strong understanding of grammar and confidence supporting behaviour management
✅ Excellent communication skills
✅ A DBS check registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
✅ Right to work in the UK
