About the Role
We’re looking for a supportive and motivating Teaching Assistant to join the Upper KS2 team at a primary school in High Wycombe from January 2026.
In this position, you’ll play a key role in guiding positive behaviour, boosting pupils’ writing skills, and helping build their confidence in maths. We’re seeking someone who brings energy to the classroom, is confident delivering 1:1 and small-group support, and has a solid grasp of KS2 grammar and punctuation.
Responsibilities:
🔵 Offer focused support to individual learners or small groups across Key Stage 2
🔵 Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences
🔵 Adapt and create resources to meet diverse learning needs and champion inclusive practice
🔵 Build strong, encouraging relationships with pupils to support their confidence, motivation, and love of learning
🔵 Track progress and provide insightful feedback to teaching staff
Requirements:
✅ Experience in an educational support role is beneficial but not essential
✅ Strong understanding of grammar and the ability to assist with behaviour support
✅ Excellent communication skills
✅ A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
✅ Right to work in the UK
