About the Role
A large, friendly and vibrant 3–4 form entry primary school with over 700 pupils on roll is seeking a caring, child-centred Welfare Assistant to support pupil wellbeing and help ensure every child feels safe, supported and ready to learn. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a GOOD rated Ofsted school with excellent CPD and development opportunities across a supportive Multi-Academy Trust.
As a Welfare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting classroom teachers and helping students achieve their full potential. You will work closely with children across a variety of age groups, including those with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they have the tools and confidence to succeed in their studies.
Responsibilities
📚 Supporting pupils with their welfare and wellbeing needs
👩🏫 Supervising and interacting with pupils throughout the school day
🌟 Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
📝 Assisting with first aid, safeguarding and health & safety procedures
Requirements
✔️ Enjoys working with children and building positive relationships
✔️ Excellent communication skills
✔️ Understanding of first aid, health & safety and safeguarding in schools
