A welcoming school in Maidenhead is seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child in Year 3. In this role, you will work directly with a specific child, tailoring your support to meet their unique needs. Collaborating with the teacher and SENCO, you will assist with both academic tasks and personal development, ensuring that this child has the best possible learning experience. Your responsibilities will include offering individualised support, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping the child to build confidence and independence.
Responsibilities:
🔵Offer dedicated 1:1 support to a child with SEN in Year 3.
🔵Work closely with the teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies for the child.
🔵Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment tailored to the child's needs.
🔵Support the child in maintaining focus and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
Requirements:
✅Experience supporting children with SEN is preferred, but not essential.
✅Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undertake further training.
✅A caring, patient approach with a proactive attitude.
✅Understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
✅Eligibility to work in the UK.
✅DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new DBS check.
