A welcoming primary school near Slough is seeking a patient and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 2, starting after the upcoming half term. This position is perfect for someone with experience in SEN support or anyone eager to learn more about working in a 1:1 position.
You’ll play a vital role in a child's educational journey, providing consistent, individualised support to help them grow in confidence and reach their full potential. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you'll help foster a positive, inclusive environment where the child can thrive both academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
🔵Offer personalised 1:1 support to a Key Stage 2 pupil with special educational needs.
🔵Work in close partnership with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies that meet the child's specific learning goals.
🔵Help create a supportive and inclusive classroom setting that promotes both academic and emotional growth.
🔵Support the pupil in maintaining focus and positive behaviour to ensure consistent engagement throughout the school day.
Requirements:
✅ Experience working with children with SEN is beneficial but not essential.
✅ Willingness to undertake relevant training or build on existing knowledge.
✅ Kind, patient, and enthusiastic about helping children succeed.
✅ Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and a strong commitment to pupil wellbeing.
✅ Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
✅ Possess a valid DBS registered on the update service, or be prepared to apply for one.
