A welcoming primary school in the High Wycombe area is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 1 pupil from September. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience in SEN or for those eager to begin their journey in this field.
Starting in the new academic year, you'll make a meaningful impact by supporting a child’s development—academically, socially, and emotionally. Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO, you'll deliver personalised support designed to help the child grow in confidence, independence, and enjoyment of learning.
Responsibilities:
🟣 Deliver dedicated 1:1 support to a Key Stage 1 pupil with additional learning needs.
🟣 Work in partnership with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies that meet the child’s unique requirements.
🟣 Help foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that nurtures the child’s growth and well being.
🟣 Promote consistent engagement and positive behaviour, encouraging the child to participate actively throughout the day.
Requirements:
✔️ Experience supporting children with special educational needs is beneficial but not essential.
✔️ Willingness to learn and grow, with relevant training welcomed or a commitment to ongoing professional development.
✔️ Kind, patient, and hands-on approach to helping young learners succeed.
✔️ Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and a strong dedication to pupil well being.
✔️ Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
✔️ A current DBS on the Update Service, or readiness to apply for one.
At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority. All candidates undergo enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding measures to ensure the well-being of students. We offer full assistance to make sure everything is in place before you start.
