The role:
- Teaching Business and Economics across KS4 and KS5
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Long-term role with the potential to become permanent
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Business and Economics at KS4 and KS5 level
- Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages discussion and critical thinking
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level exams, ensuring strong subject knowledge and understanding
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles
- Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback and tracking progress
- Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of learning materials
- Monitor and report on student performance, maintaining accurate records
- Work closely with the Head of Department and wider staff team to support whole-school priorities
- Attend parent evenings, departmental meetings, and CPD sessions as required
- Inspire students to develop a practical understanding of real-world business and economic issues
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Business and/or Economics at GCSE and A-Level
- Someone engaging, organised and confident in delivering subject knowledge
- A team player who’s keen to get involved in school life
