We’re supporting a specialist setting in Slough to recruit a PE Teacher for a September 2025 start. The role will begin on a daily supply basis for at least the first term, with the view to move into a permanent position once the right fit is confirmed.
This setting works with young people aged 11–16 who face barriers to learning due to Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, medical challenges, or other complex circumstances. It provides a range of tailored educational programmes across multiple sites and offers an incredibly supportive environment for both staff and students.
Why this role could be a great fit:
- Smaller class sizes (around 6–8 pupils), so you can build strong relationships and really tailor your teaching
- A shorter but more focused school day, meaning your time in the classroom has real impact
- A dedicated, passionate team who go above and beyond for their pupils
- A chance to support vulnerable learners in building confidence, life skills and a positive future
- A passionate PE teacher with QTS – but strong ECTs and experienced unqualified teachers are welcome to apply
- Someone who’s resilient, understanding and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Strong behaviour management skills and a natural ability to connect with young people
- A real interest in SEN/SEMH and a desire to make a long-term impact
- Confident communication with both families and external agencies is a must
This role is perfect for someone who’s not just after a timetable or a salary – but wants to work somewhere they’re truly needed. It's a challenging setting, but one that’s also incredibly rewarding. You’ll need empathy, patience, a sense of humour and the flexibility to roll with the ups and downs of the day.
If your interested, we'd love to hear from you!
