About the role:
This is a full teaching timetable for RE across KS3 and KS4, with all the usual PPA time protected. You’ll be working closely with the Humanities team to plan and deliver engaging lessons. The school has a strong curriculum in place, supported by experienced colleagues, and has created a culture where teacher well being and professional growth really matter.
Responsibilities:
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging Religious Education lessons, helping students explore big ideas and develop their thinking around faith, ethics and the world around them by:
- Working collaboratively with the Humanities team on curriculum planning
- Developing schemes of work that inspire both learners and teachers
- Monitor and track student progress, using data to help drive achievement
- Lead on creative and active learning strategies
- Offer students extra-curricular or enrichment opportunities linked to the subject
- Stay up-to-date with educational developments and contribute to department CPD
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Strong subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching
- Enhanced DBS on the update service
- A teacher with a genuine passion for education who builds positive relationships with students and inspires them to engage in RE
If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.
