Are you an enthusiastic Teacher looking for a new opportunity? We are working with a well-established special free school in Maidenhead that caters for children and young people aged 4-16 with autism. This school provides high levels of therapeutic support and a specialist teaching approach, ensuring that every child reaches their full potential in a structured and nurturing environment.
The school follows Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behaviour (VB) methodologies, allowing students to develop essential communication, social, and life skills. The school has a highly collaborative approach, with teachers, behaviour therapists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and tutors working together to provide tailored support. 

Responsibilities:
 
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs
  • Use ABA/VB techniques to support learning and communication
  • Work collaboratively with therapists and teaching staff to implement EHCP targets
  • Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Track and assess pupil progress, adjusting strategies where needed
  • Engage with parents and carers to provide regular updates and support
Requirements: 
  • QTS and Enhanced DBS. 
  • Experience working with students with autism and complex needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for SEN education and a child-centred approach
