We’re working with a lovely specialist school in Slough who are looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. The school caters for pupils aged 2–19 with a range of additional needs including Autism, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, and PMLD. It’s a calm, nurturing environment with a strong team and a real focus on holistic, child-centred support.
In this role, you’ll be supporting pupils with complex needs in a structured classroom setting. You’ll work closely with experienced teachers and therapists to help pupils access learning in a way that works for them. The team are incredibly welcoming and supportive – ideal for someone looking to grow within a SEN setting.
Responsibilities include:
🧩 Supporting pupils with Autism, SLD, and PMLD in small class groups
🗣 Using visual aids, communication tools, and sensory strategies to support learning
🧼 Assisting with personal care and physical needs (training provided)
💬 Working closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistency
🎯 Helping pupils build independence, confidence, and life skills
What we’re looking for:
🌟 Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (care or school background welcome!)
🤝 A calm, patient and positive attitude
🚿 Comfortable with personal care
🎓 Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential)
👟 Someone reliable, flexible, and committed to making a difference
