Do you have a strong desire to support and empower children with special educational needs? We are looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in High Wycombe. This full-time position, starting in January, offers the opportunity to work closely with children who benefit from personalised support and encouragement.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be essential in supporting students with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. Collaborating with skilled teachers and specialists, you will deliver tailored interventions, foster positive behaviours, and assist students in reaching their personal goals within a caring and structured setting.
Key responsibilities:
🟦 Provide individualised or small group support to students, assisting with their academic development.
🟦 Collaborate with the teacher to design and deliver dynamic, interactive lessons.
🟦 Modify and prepare educational resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
🟦 Build strong, supportive relationships with students, enhancing their confidence and participation.
🟦 Monitor student progress and share insights with the teaching team to inform future planning.
Requirements:
🟪 A genuine commitment to fostering children's growth and learning.
🟪 Experience in a similar role is advantageous, though not required.
🟪 Strong communication abilities, with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
🟪 Relevant qualifications or a willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
