As a class room Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to enhance learning experiences across KS1 and KS2. You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging lessons and providing targeted support to pupils, especially those with additional learning needs.
Responsibilities: 📚
- Offer hands-on assistance to both the teacher and students during lessons.
- Contribute to the delivery of personalised learning activities and small group interventions.
- Support pupils with special educational needs and help foster an inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist in maintaining positive behaviour and smooth daily routines within the class.
- Help organise and set up teaching resources and materials.
- Share observations and updates with teachers and, when appropriate, with parents.
Requirements: ✅
- Prior experience in a primary school environment is desirable.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and flexible in a dynamic classroom setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning and development.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or readiness to obtain one.
