As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and pupils, ensuring a positive learning environment for all. You will work closely with class teachers to assist in delivering engaging lessons, help pupils with their learning, and provide support to children with a range of abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the class teacher in managing the classroom and preparing learning resources.
- Work with small groups or one-on-one to assist pupils with their academic progress.
- Support pupils with special educational needs, ensuring they can fully participate in classroom activities.
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Assist with administrative tasks and classroom organisation as needed.
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable.
- An understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children’s learning.
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, school hours (term-time only).
