Are you passionate about making a difference in young learners’ lives? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our vibrant primary school team in Reading.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and pupils, ensuring a positive learning environment for all. You will work closely with class teachers to assist in delivering engaging lessons, help pupils with their learning, and provide support to children with a range of abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the class teacher in managing the classroom and preparing learning resources.
  • Work with small groups or one-on-one to assist pupils with their academic progress.
  • Support pupils with special educational needs, ensuring they can fully participate in classroom activities.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and classroom organisation as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable.
  • An understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children’s learning.
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, school hours (term-time only).
