An inclusive and welcoming primary school in Reading is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team for an immediate start. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support classroom learning across a range of subjects and year groups. You’ll work closely with teachers to help pupils stay focused and engaged, and may also provide individual or small group support—particularly for those with additional learning needs. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, reliable, and genuinely passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities 🎒
  • Support pupils in class and during intervention sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers to prepare resources and support learning activities
  • Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning objectives
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Contribute to a warm, inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting
  • A caring, patient, and flexible approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence in supporting children with a range of learning needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
