A welcoming primary school in Maidenhead is currently seeking a pro-active and committed Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a full-time basis.
In this position, you’ll support the class teacher in delivering learning to pupils with a range of abilities, both in the classroom and through targeted small group or 1:1 support. You’ll be an important part of fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can succeed.
Whether you have prior experience in education or are just starting out, this school offers a supportive staff team and fantastic opportunities for training and development.
Responsibilities:
📝 Support pupils’ progress during classroom activities and focused intervention work
📝 Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning opportunities
📝 Help create a warm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
📝 Provide additional support for children with diverse learning needs, including SEND
📝 Encourage positive behaviour and active participation throughout the school day
Requirements:
✅ Experience working with children, ideally within an educational setting.
✅ A calm, proactive, and supportive attitude.
✅ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect well with both students and staff.
✅ A genuine interest in helping children with a range of learning needs
✅ A DBS check on the update service or readiness to obtain one
