We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistant to join the KS2 team at a welcoming school near Maidenhead in September. This full-time role is perfect for someone who thrives in an active environment and enjoys working closely with young learners to help them grow academically and personally.
You'll play a key role in supporting behaviour management, boosting writing skills, and reinforcing confidence in maths. The ideal candidate will bring strong energy to the classroom, be confident leading both 1:1 and small group interventions, and have a solid grasp of KS2 grammar and punctuation.
Responsibilities:
🔵Support individual learners or small groups across Key Stage 2 with focused guidance to help them stay on track and reach their potential.
🔵Work closely with the class teacher to design and deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
🔵Modify and prepare resources to cater to different learning preferences and ensure inclusive access to the curriculum.
🔵Promote positive, trusting relationships with pupils to boost self-esteem, motivation, and a love for learning.
🔵Track progress and confidently share insights and updates with teaching staff to inform classroom strategies.
Requirements:
✅ Proven experience working in a similar educational support role is required.
✅Solid grammar skills and a good handle on how to manage behaviour in the classroom.
✅ A real enthusiasm for supporting children’s development and helping them thrive.
✅ Excellent communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude towards teamwork.
✅DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one.
✅Right to work in the UK.
