A friendly primary school in Maidenhead is looking for an engaging and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in KS1 starting in September. Whether you have prior experience in SEN support or are passionate about starting a role in this area, this opportunity could be a great fit for you.
Starting in the new academic year, you'll play a key role in helping a child thrive—both academically and personally. Responsibilities:
🔹Provide individualised 1:1 support to a KS1 child with special educational needs.
🔹Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted learning approaches tailored to the child.
🔹Contribute to a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports the child’s development.
🔹Encourage sustained focus and positive behaviour to help the child engage fully throughout the school day.
Requirements:
✔️Previous experience with SEN is advantageous, though not required.
✔️Relevant training or an openness to developing your skills through further training.
✔️Compassionate, patient, and proactive in supporting young learners.
✔️Awareness of safeguarding practices and commitment to child welfare.
✔️Right to work in the UK is essential.
✔️Holding a current DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority. All candidates undergo enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding measures to ensure the well-being of students. We offer full assistance to make sure everything is in place before you start.
