We are seeking a patient and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a Year 6 classroom at a local school near Maidenhead, starting as soon as possible. This full-time position involves working closely with students to support learning, with a particular focus on behaviour management, writing development, and maths support.
The ideal candidate will be confident in promoting positive behaviour, have a solid understanding of Year 6 grammar and punctuation, and be comfortable delivering interventions in both 1:1 and small group settings. A calm, patient approach and the ability to engage and motivate learners are key requirements for this role.
Responsibilities:
🔹Provide tailored assistance to individual pupils or small groups in Year 6 to help them achieve their learning goals.
🔹 Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and implement dynamic and engaging lesson activities.
🔹 Adapt and organise classroom materials to suit diverse learning styles and support varying student needs.
🔹 Build strong, nurturing relationships with pupils to promote confidence, engagement, and a positive attitude towards learning.
🔹Monitor student development and share constructive feedback and observations with the wider teaching team.
Requirements:
✅Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
✅Strong grammar skills and excellent behaviour management techniques are essential for this role.
✅A genuine passion for fostering children's growth and learning.
✅Strong communication skills, with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
