About the Role
Supply Hive is recruiting on behalf of a unique therapeutic and educational provision supporting a young adult with complex special educational needs. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a truly personalised 1:1 basis, combining education, life skills development, therapeutic support and community-based learning. The role will be based across a specialist educational provision, the young person's home, and local community settings, with a start date to be agreed.
This is far more than a traditional teaching role. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors and other professionals to deliver a bespoke educational programme tailored to the young person's individual needs, interests and future aspirations. Alongside supporting Entry Level Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths, you will help develop independence, communication, confidence, social skills and everyday life skills, ensuring learning is engaging, meaningful and enjoyable. You will also support community access, educational visits and activities that encourage personal growth and independence.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 learning programmes tailored to the young person's individual needs and EHCP outcomes
- Teach Functional Skills and Entry Level qualifications, including English, Maths and a range of practical and creative subjects
- Monitor, assess and record progress, gathering evidence towards accredited qualifications
- Work collaboratively with therapists, family members and external professionals
- Adapt learning approaches to support speech and language needs, anxiety, learning difficulties and OCD-related challenges
- Support the development of independence, communication, emotional wellbeing and social interaction skills
- Deliver engaging learning experiences linked to the young person's interests, strengths and future goals
- Support access to community-based activities and real-life learning opportunities
- Provide consistent pastoral support and maintain high safeguarding standards
- Transport the young person between home, educational provision and community activities using a vehicle provided during working hours
- Continue supporting learning and enrichment activities during school holiday periods, where required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally within a specialist or therapeutic setting
- Strong understanding of Functional Skills and/or Entry Level qualifications
- Experience supporting young people with complex additional needs, including communication difficulties and learning needs
- A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach to teaching and learning
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to create engaging, personalised learning programmes
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable young people
- Confident using Microsoft Office and other educational technology platforms
- Full UK driving licence with a minimum of three years' driving experience
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to commute to the Windsor and Bagshot area
