This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive SEN environment where every day is different. You will be working closely with pupils with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs, helping them to access learning in a way that is tailored to their individual needs. The role will focus on supporting learning, promoting independence, and helping pupils develop key communication, social and emotional regulation skills.

  • Assist pupils with communication, sensory needs and emotional regulation throughout the school day
  • Implement behaviour and support strategies consistently
  • Encourage independence, confidence and life skills development
  • Support pupils during transitions, break times and off-site activities where required
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and wider school staff
  • Contribute to pupil progress monitoring through observations and feedback
  • Maintain a strong focus on safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school or care background considered)
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to follow structured support plans and adapt to individual needs
  • A proactive and team-focused attitude
  • Understanding of autism, learning difficulties or SEMH needs is highly desirable
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable learners
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about SEN who wants to make a real difference in a supportive and specialist environment.

At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority. All candidates undergo enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding measures to ensure the well-being of students. We offer full assistance to make sure everything is in place before you start.
