1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on an individual basis in a school in the Wokingham area.

This role is ideal for someone who is patient, nurturing, and confident in providing tailored support to meet a child’s specific needs.

Role responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 support to a pupil throughout the school day
• Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Implementing strategies and support plans as directed
• Helping to maintain a safe, positive learning environment

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working as a 1:1 TA or SEN TA (preferred)
• Experience supporting children with SEN, ASD, ADHD, or SEMH
• A calm, patient, and consistent approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
