About the Role
Supply Hive is working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Slough who are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable SENCO to join their team 4 days a week starting in September 2026.
The successful candidate will work closely with staff, pupils, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Responsibilities:
🔵Lead and manage the provision for pupils with SEND across the school.
🔵Work with teaching staff to develop and deliver high-quality support strategies.
🔵Oversee the identification and assessment of pupils with SEND.
🔵Maintain and update SEND records, including Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
🔵Support staff through training, guidance, and collaborative planning.
🔵Liaise with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure effective communication and provision.
🔵Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and support programmes.
Requirements:
✅Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✅SENCO qualification
✅National Professional Qualification (NPQ)
✅A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
✅Excellent communication and organisational skills.
✅The ability to work effectively with pupils, staff, families, and external professionals.

Pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.
