About the Role
Supply Hive are supporting a school in High Wycombe who is looking for a SEN experienced Part Time Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support to a non-verbal KS1 child.
The hours of the role involve working 12.30pm-3.30pm Monday to Friday, ensuring the child can fully access learning and manage their behaviour. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN and have a compassionate, patient approach.
Responsibilities:
🟢 Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a KS1 child with complex communication needs.
🟢 Implement and support alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, AAC, signs, or symbols).
🟢 Assist with learning activities, adapting tasks to meet the child’s individual needs.
🟢 Support the child’s social, emotional, and personal development in line with their IEP.
🟢 Monitor progress, observe behavior, and maintain accurate records for teachers and parents.
🟢 Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support.
Requirements:
✅Proven experience supporting children with SEN particularly non-verbal.
✅Right to work in the UK.
✅DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one.
