About the Role
High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Are you a confident, experienced practitioner ready to take the next step in your education career?
We’re looking for a proactive and passionate HLTA to join a supportive primary school in Reading.
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You’ll work closely with class teachers, deliver pre-planned lessons, and provide high-quality support to pupils of all abilities.

- Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Lead small group interventions to boost progress
- Assist with planning, assessment & classroom preparation
- Provide behaviour support and model positive relationships
- Work closely with teachers, SLT and support staff
- HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Strong classroom management skills
- Confidence delivering whole-class learning
- A caring, nurturing and adaptable approach
- Reliable, motivated and committed to pupil progress
