High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Are you a confident, experienced practitioner ready to take the next step in your education career?
We’re looking for a proactive and passionate HLTA to join a supportive primary school in Reading.
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You’ll work closely with class teachers, deliver pre-planned lessons, and provide high-quality support to pupils of all abilities.

🔸 Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
• Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Lead small group interventions to boost progress
• Assist with planning, assessment & classroom preparation
• Provide behaviour support and model positive relationships
• Work closely with teachers, SLT and support staff

🔸 What We’re Looking For

• HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Strong classroom management skills
• Confidence delivering whole-class learning
• A caring, nurturing and adaptable approach
• Reliable, motivated and committed to pupil progress
