About the Role
Supply Hive are currently supporting a primary school in Windsor who are looking for a full time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team after half term.
This full-time position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive and providing personalised support within the school and has previous experience working with children.
Key Responsibilities:
🔵 Offer 1:1 support for a child with additional needs, employing strategies to promote communication, engagement, and interaction.
🔵 Deliver personalised learning and behaviour support plans in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
🔵 Foster independence, confidence, and social skills through tailored activities and positive encouragement.
🔵 Assist with the child’s sensory and emotional regulation to maintain a calm and effective learning environment.
🔵 Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to ensure consistent and high-quality support.
🔵 Observe, document, and report on the child’s progress to staff and parents, helping to shape future learning goals.
Requirements:
✔️ Experience supporting children with additional needs is highly desirable.
✔️ Passion for helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
✔️ Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
✔️ A flexible and proactive approach with a positive attitude.
✔️ DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
✔️ Right to work in the UK.
