About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in a primary school setting. This role is ideal for someone who is calm, patient and confident supporting children with additional behavioural needs.
The pupil requires support with impulse control and emotional regulation, particularly during transition periods such as break and lunch times. The successful candidate will help the pupil remain safe, engaged and supported throughout the school day while working closely with the class teacher and SEN team.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 1:1 support for the pupil throughout the school day
- Support the child with managing impulses and behaviour in a calm and positive way
- Assist during transitions and busier parts of the day where the pupil may find it more challenging
- Help create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff
- Previous Teaching Assistant or SEN support experience
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour or additional needs
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
