Reception Teacher – Reading 
We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and creative Reception Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about giving young learners the best possible start to their education.

About the Role:
You will lead a Reception class, delivering engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organised and committed to supporting children’s early development through creative and meaningful experiences.

✨ Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver inspiring lessons and activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum
• Create a warm, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
• Support children’s early language, phonics, social skills and independence
• Observe, assess and track progress through accurate and reflective observations
• Work closely with teaching assistants and wider EYFS staff
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and the school community
• Promote high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare
• Contribute to planning, staff meetings and wider school activities
• Develop both indoor and outdoor learning areas to enhance exploration and play

✨ What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in EYFS, particularly Reception
• Strong knowledge of child development and early learning
• A warm, patient and child-centred approach
• Ability to deliver creative, hands-on learning experiences
