Secondary English Teacher

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Secondary English Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Reading. This is a full-time role teaching across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to a strong and collaborative English department.
✨ Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across KS3–KS4
• Plan, assess and track progress to support strong student outcomes
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to department planning, progress meetings and wider school life
• Inspire a love of literature, language and creative thinking

💡 The ideal candidate:

• QTS or equivalent, with experience teaching secondary English
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
• Confident behaviour management and classroom presence
• Committed to supporting students of all abilities
• Reliable, collaborative and proactive
