About the Role

Supply Hive are supporting a local specialist SEMH primary school in Slough who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team from September. The school supports children aged 5-11 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and provides a nurturing, structured environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher or a mainstream teacher looking to move into a specialist setting. The school offers small class sizes, a highly supportive staff team, and a therapeutic approach to education that enables pupils to thrive.

As the successful SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of your pupils. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and families to ensure every child receives the support they need to make meaningful progress.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Create a positive, safe, and structured learning environment
  • Support pupils with their social, emotional, and academic development
  • Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and promote emotional regulation
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, families, and external professionals
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience working with children with SEMH, SEN, or additional needs is desirable
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.
All applicants must hold the appropriate qualifications and training for this role and have the Right to Work in the UK. Pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
