Are you a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA or Learning Support Assistant looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference?
We’re working with a specialist Alternative Provision setting in Wokingham, supporting young people who may have struggled in a mainstream school environment.
The school provides a calm, nurturing and highly personalised approach, helping pupils to rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning and develop the skills they need for the future.

The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team to support pupils with a range of SEN and SEMH needs.
This could include supporting pupils with:

• Social, emotional and mental health needs
• Challenging or dysregulated behaviour
• Anxiety and low confidence
• Additional learning needs
• Difficulties engaging with mainstream education

You’ll help pupils access learning, stay engaged and develop positive relationships with education.
This is a role where patience, consistency and relationship-building are just as important as academic support.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children or young people
• Ideally has experience within SEN, SEMH, Alternative Provision or a similar setting
• Is patient, calm and resilient
• Can build positive relationships with young people
• Is confident managing challenging behaviour
• Can work as part of a supportive team
• Genuinely wants to make a difference to pupils who may have struggled in mainstream education

Experience isn't everything — if you've worked in a youth, care, sports, mentoring or similar environment and have the right attitude, we'd still love to hear from you.
