About the Role
Supply Hive are currently working with a welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in Maidenhead that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role with an ASAP start, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a structured and nurturing environment.
The school supports children and young people with a variety of needs, including Autism (ASC) and complex learning difficulties. Classes are small, with strong staff-to-pupil ratios, allowing for personalised support and meaningful progress. The team are experienced, supportive, and focused on creating a calm, consistent setting where pupils feel safe and understood.
You will be supporting students on a 1:1 basis and within small groups, helping to deliver tailored learning activities, manage behaviour positively, and encourage independence both inside and outside the classroom. This role would suit someone patient, resilient, and genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
Responsibilities
If you carry out a long-term role with Supply Hive, you will be paid fairly and in line with your responsibilities. Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
- Support the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Support communication and social interaction development
- Assist with observations and feedback on pupil progress
- ✔️ Previous experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
- ✔️ A calm, patient, and proactive approach
- ✔️ Strong communication and teamwork skills
- ✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- ✔️ Right to Work in the UK
