Are you a passionate and dedicated SENCO looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity this September?

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join a welcoming and supportive school in Reading.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs while working within a collaborative and caring school environment.

The Role As SENCO, you will:
  • Lead and manage the school's SEND provision.
  • Identify and support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Ensure EHCPs and support plans are implemented effectively.
  • Monitor pupil progress and promote inclusive teaching practices.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on SEND strategies and interventions.
  • Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and best practice.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or is willing to work towards it.
  • Has previous experience working as a SENCO or within SEND leadership.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and improving outcomes for all pupils.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families, staff, and external professionals.
