We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join a welcoming and supportive school in Reading.

The Ideal Candidate

If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

The Role As SENCO, you will:
- Lead and manage the school's SEND provision.
- Identify and support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Ensure EHCPs and support plans are implemented effectively.
- Monitor pupil progress and promote inclusive teaching practices.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on SEND strategies and interventions.
- Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and best practice.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or is willing to work towards it.
- Has previous experience working as a SENCO or within SEND leadership.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is passionate about inclusive education and improving outcomes for all pupils.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, families, staff, and external professionals.
