A specialist primary school in Slough is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time, starting as soon as possible.
This supportive and inclusive school provides a nurturing environment for pupils aged 4-11 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school focuses on building confidence, emotional resilience, and key life skills, ensuring every child receives the support they need. With small class sizes, a tailored curriculum, and enrichment activities such as music days, sports days, and community events, this is a fantastic place to work and grow.
Responsibilities:
🔹 Support pupils in managing their emotions and behaviour in a structured, positive way.
🔹 Work closely with teachers and therapists to create an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
🔹 Provide 1:1 and small group support, adapting learning to individual needs.
🔹 Assist in delivering creative and therapeutic activities to promote social and emotional development.
🔹 Encourage independence and self-regulation through positive reinforcement strategies.
Requirements:
✅ Experience working with children with SEMH or additional needs is desirable.
✅ A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young learners.
✅ Strong teamwork and communication skills.
✅ A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
✅ The Right to Work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
