You’ll be joining a collaborative Humanities department with great resources and a curriculum that encourages critical thinking and curiosity about the past.
🔍 Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Differentiate for a range of needs and abilities within a mainstream setting
- Mark, assess and report on student progress in line with school policy
- Contribute to department planning and wider school activities
- Support pupils to develop historical thinking skills and a passion for the subject
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it (ECTs welcome)
- Experience teaching History in a UK secondary school
- Good classroom management and communication skills
- A strong understanding of the current History curriculum
- A positive, professional and flexible approach to teaching
If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.
