A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bracknell is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, though a September start can be arranged for the right candidate. The school is known for its nurturing ethos, excellent leadership, and strong support for both staff and pupils – including those with special educational needs.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning across the curriculum. You may be supporting whole-class activities, small groups, or providing 1:1 support for a child with additional needs. Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who may need extra support
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive learning
  • Help prepare learning materials and maintain a stimulating classroom environment
  • Contribute to pupil assessments and progress tracking
  • Provide personal care where necessary (training and guidance provided)
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and well-being
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
