As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning across the curriculum. You may be supporting whole-class activities, small groups, or providing 1:1 support for a child with additional needs. Responsibilities ✨
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who may need extra support
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive learning
- Help prepare learning materials and maintain a stimulating classroom environment
- Contribute to pupil assessments and progress tracking
- Provide personal care where necessary (training and guidance provided)
- Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and well-being
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
