An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Year 2 Class Teacher at a welcoming and community-focused primary school nestled in the heart of Maidenhead. You’ll play a key role in preparing children for their transition to upper Key Stage 1, fostering their confidence, curiosity, and love for learning. This role requires effective classroom management skills and a genuine passion for supporting children’s academic and personal growth in a close-knit, nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
🟣 Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire Year 2 students and align with the curriculum.
🟣 Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
🟣 Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.
🟣 Provide thoughtful, constructive feedback to help students grow and develop both academically and personally.
🟣 Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure the success and well-being of each pupil.
Requirements:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
✅ Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging and nurturing environment for Year 2 students.
✅ A creative and flexible approach to teaching, ensuring lessons are fun, inspiring, and tailored to the needs of young learners.
✅ A strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting the well-being of every child.
✅ Eligibility to work in the UK.
