HLTA (Higher level teaching assistant)

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive school in Reading this September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their education career and make a real impact in the classroom.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support learning across the school, deliver planned interventions, and confidently lead whole-class sessions when required.

The role will involve:

• Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom
• Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions
• Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff and SEN teams
• Helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working in a school setting
• HLTA status or equivalent experience
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A confident and proactive approach
• Good understanding of the UK curriculum
• A passion for supporting children’s development

If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
