About the Role
We are currently working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Reading who are looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting pupils’ learning while also taking responsibility for leading lessons when required.
The Role As an HLTA, you will work closely with teachers and the wider support staff to deliver engaging learning experiences and help pupils reach their full potential.

- Delivering pre-planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
- Supporting small group interventions and targeted learning
- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Supporting pupils with varying learning needs, including SEN where required
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
- HLTA qualification or relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience supporting learning in a primary school setting
- Confident leading lessons and managing a classroom when required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for helping children succeed
