About the Role

Supply Hive are working with a specialist alternative provision in High Wycombe that supports young people who need a different approach to education. The setting is small, calm, and highly relationship-led, with a strong focus on emotional regulation, consistency, and re-engaging pupils who have struggled in mainstream settings.

This is a great opportunity for an LSA who enjoys building meaningful connections and being a steady, trusted adult for young people with SEMH and additional needs. The provision values patience, understanding, and teamwork, and offers a genuinely supportive working environment.

The role will involve:
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Helping young people regulate emotions and remain engaged
  • Supporting learning across reading, numeracy, and functional skills
  • Acting as a positive role model and trusted adult
  • Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Has experience supporting young people (SEN, SEMH or AP experience ideal)
  • Is calm, resilient, and relationship-focused
  • Can engage pupils who may be reluctant learners
  • Understands that behaviour is communication
  • Is reliable, consistent, and genuinely cares about making a difference
This role would suit someone from an LSA, TA, youth work, care, or mentoring background who is looking for a rewarding, long-term opportunity within an alternative provision that truly puts pupils first.

At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority. All applicants will require an enhanced DBS check and the appropriate Right to Work in the UK. Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
