About the Role
Supply Hive is seeking a motivated, driven and experienced professional to join a welcoming school community in Slough as a school business manager.
As School Business Manager, you will take the lead on overseeing and developing the school’s business operations, including finance, resources, HR, IT, estates and health & safety. You will play a vital role in coordinating the day-to-day support functions that ensure the school runs smoothly and efficiently.

As School Business Manager, you will take the lead on overseeing and developing the school’s business operations, including finance, resources, HR, IT, estates and health & safety. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of finance, HR, estates and business operations
- Provide strategic guidance to the Headteacher, Trust and Governors
- Support school improvement through effective planning and resource management
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, reporting and value for money
- Monitor income/expenditure and produce management accounts and audit reports
- Manage procurement, contracts, tenders and external service providers
- Identify funding opportunities and support bids and income generation
- Lead on recruitment, HR processes and line management of support staff
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, risk management and site operations
- Oversee administration, ICT systems, GDPR compliance and data management
Requirements:
- Proven experience in financial and business management
- Strong organisational skills
- Knowledge of HR, compliance, and health & safety regulations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage budgets, analyse data and drive efficiency
- Experience in education or public sector (desirable)
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
