About the Role

A welcoming and supportive SEN school in Slough is looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team full time from September. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties, and prides itself on creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys building strong relationships and making a genuine difference to young people’s education and development.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of your pupils. You’ll work closely with support staff, therapists, parents and the wider school team to ensure pupils are supported both academically and emotionally. The school is looking for someone patient, adaptable and proactive, who can create a positive learning environment and celebrate every small achievement along the way.

Responsibilities 🌟
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons suited to pupils’ individual needs
  • Support pupils with SEN including Autism, SEMH and communication needs
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and therapy teams
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff
  • Monitor progress and adapt learning strategies where needed
  • Create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A nurturing and patient approach to teaching
  • Ability to adapt lessons to support different learning needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

If you carry out a long-term Class Teacher role with Supply Hive, you will be paid to your MPS.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role, as well as the Right to Work in the UK. Pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
