About the Role
Supply Hive are working closely with a specialist SEMH provision in Slough to appoint a caring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
This small, specialist SEMH provision supports pupils aged 11–16 who have Education, Health and Care Plans for social, emotional and mental health needs. Many pupils have experienced challenges in mainstream education and benefit from a calmer, more personalised approach to learning. The setting offers a structured, nurturing environment with small groups, strong routines and a real focus on relationships, wellbeing and re-engagement with education.
The ethos is centred around helping young people rebuild confidence, develop emotional regulation and make positive choices for their future. Staff work closely together to create a safe, consistent space where pupils feel understood, respected and supported to succeed.
The Role
As a SENTA, you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils throughout the school day, both in lessons and during unstructured times. You’ll work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to provide tailored support that helps pupils access learning, manage emotions and build independence. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone calm, resilient and genuinely invested in supporting young people with SEMH needs.
Responsibilities
At Supply Hive, safeguarding and child welfare are at the heart of everything we do. All candidates undergo enhanced DBS checks and thorough safeguarding procedures before starting. We provide full assistance throughout the process.
