SEN Teaching Assistant

Supply Hive are working with a welcoming SEN school in Maidenhead that’s looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. The school supports children with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH and learning difficulties, and places a huge emphasis on relationships, routine and creating a safe, nurturing environment for pupils.
This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys supporting children on a 1:1 or small group basis and is happy getting stuck in with both learning and pastoral support throughout the school day.
Responsibilities 🌟

• Supporting pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
• Providing emotional and behavioural support where needed
• Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in learning
• Helping to create a calm, positive and structured learning environment

Requirements ✅

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting)
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Relevant TA or SEN qualifications are desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
