About the Role

Supply Hive are working alongside this specialist provision which supports children and young people aged 4–19 with a wide range of complex needs, including autism, communication difficulties, physical and sensory needs, and severe to profound learning difficulties. The school places a strong emphasis on wellbeing — creating a safe, calm and positive environment where both pupils and staff feel supported and valued.

This specialist SEN setting in High Wycombe is built around values of respect, nurture, curiosity and wellbeing, where every pupil is supported to communicate, interact with the world around them and develop meaningful life skills. Learning is highly personalised, with individual pathways designed to meet each young person’s needs and prepare them for adulthood with confidence, dignity and independence.

The Role
As a SENTA, you’ll be a key part of a caring and collaborative team, providing hands-on support to pupils throughout the school day. You’ll help students access learning, develop communication skills and build independence, working closely with teachers and wider professionals to deliver consistent, pupil-centred support.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups across the school day
  • Helping pupils access personalised learning activities and routines
  • Using communication-focused and low-arousal approaches to support engagement
  • Working towards individual EHCP targets and outcomes
  • Promoting wellbeing, independence and positive relationships

Requirements
  • Experience supporting children or young people (SEN experience ideal but not essential)
  • A calm, patient and nurturing approach
  • Confidence working with pupils with complex and diverse needs
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A genuine commitment to inclusive, child-centred practice
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a setting where relationships, wellbeing and personalised support sit at the heart of everything, and where staff are encouraged to learn, grow and make a real difference every day.

At Supply Hive, safeguarding and child welfare are at the heart of everything we do. All candidates undergo enhanced DBS checks and thorough safeguarding procedures before starting. We provide full assistance throughout the process.
