About the Role
Supply Hive is supporting a welcoming primary school in Slough that is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fixed-term position running until the end of the academic year.
The successful candidate will be passionate about early learning, committed to high standards, and able to provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young learners.
Responsibilities:
🟢Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
🟢Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports pupil progress
🟢Use effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive learning attitudes.
🟢Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress accurately and regularly.
🟢Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL pupils.
🟢Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers.
🟢Contribute to school life, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
🟢Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
Requirements:
✅Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✅Experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1
✅Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics
✅Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
✅Right to work in the UK
✅Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
