About the Role

A well-established specialist school in Slough is seeking a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join their team from September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity working with pupils aged 2–19 with a range of additional needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism, and complex needs.

This role would suit a teacher who is confident delivering a highly personalised curriculum and thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. You’ll be supported by a strong team of teaching assistants and therapists, with a real focus on delivering holistic support for every pupil.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Support pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD and complex learning needs
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and therapists to deliver targeted support
  • Create a structured, engaging and safe learning environment
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches where needed
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, families and the wider school team
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with SEN (special school experience desirable)
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and personalised learning
  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
